Volunteer with Us – Your Support Makes the Show a Success!
At Bandon Show, we are proud to bring the best of Irish agriculture to the community every year. The success of our event is largely due to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, who are essential in ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning helper, there’s a place for you on our team!
We are looking for volunteers to assist in a variety of roles on the day of the show. Whether you're passionate about agriculture, looking to get involved in your local community, or just want to help, there’s an opportunity for you. Here are the areas where we need your help:
Volunteer Roles Available:
Gate and Ticketing Assistants
- Welcome visitors to the show and direct them to the right areas.
- Assist with ticket sales and check-in for pre-registered attendees.
- Ensure a smooth flow of traffic and provide general information.
Ring/Arena Stewards
- Help manage crowd control around the main event areas.
- Ensure the safety of both competitors and spectators.
- Assist with seating arrangements and provide directions as needed.
Exhibit and Stall Helpers
- Support exhibitors with setting up their booths and displays.
- Assist visitors with questions or provide general information about exhibits.
- Monitor the stalls to ensure everything is kept tidy and well-organised.
Animal Show Assistants
- Help with the safe and comfortable movement of animals between areas.
- Assist judges and exhibitors with setup and logistics.
- Support competitors with any queries and ensure animals are properly cared for during the event.
Refreshment Stand and Concessions
- Serve food and drinks to show attendees and participants.
- Help with setup and clean-up of food stalls.
- Ensure a pleasant experience for those stopping by the refreshment stands.
General Event Support
- Assist with general set-up and breakdown of the event.
- Help with managing queues, giving directions, and providing a helping hand wherever needed.
- Take part in a variety of tasks to ensure the event runs smoothly.
