EQ19: TIHA Limerick Lady Championship for Two Year Old Traditionally Bred Fillies Qualifier

SEPARATE RING FOR EACH SECTION

  • Please have your passports available on Show Day.
  • All Competitors MUST be suitably dressed.
  • Horses can only compete in Classes in which they have been entered - NO changes on Show Day.
  • All exhibitors leading, riding or showing equines in competition must be 16 years of age or over on 1 January 2026, unless otherwise stated in the class detail.
  • It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure that they arrive on time/enter in the correct class/classes and to ensure that they fulfil eligibility requirements to enter said class.

Colts/Stallions Debarred From Entry
Judging commences 11.30am sharp in Class Order

  • All Exhibitors MUST display numbers in the ring
  • First Prizewinners debarred from further competition excl. qualifiers
  • Please have your passports available on Show Day 

If insufficient entries are received, the gelding/filly classes will be amalgamated. There will be a special prize of €50 for the "best filly" if unplaced.

Conditions for TIHA Limerick Lady Qualifier 2026:

(a) For two-year-old Traditionally Bred Fillies, suitable for producing High Quality Traditionally Bred Sport Horses

(b)Fillies must have been registered as foals with a society that maintains its breed for -  the Irish Sport Horse Breed, the Irish Draught Breed, the Thoroughbred Breed & the Connemara Pony Breed and MUST be by: 
APPROVED: (a) Thoroughbred Stallions, Connemara Stallions, ISH (TIH)  Stallions,  Irish Draught Stallions or (b) Any cross of the afore mentioned 

(c) Dams of the fillies must be by the Stallions as above and registered with a society that maintains its breed

(d) NA 1 Irish Sport Horse Stallions or similar classification

(e) All exhibitors must have their fillies passports available for inspection at the Qualifying show and at the Championship

(f) Entry fee for the Qualifier is €15, Entry fee for the Championship is €25

(g) More than one filly may be selected at any qualifying show, provided that the standard of entries warrants such selection  

(h) Should the standard of entries be insufficient, no filly will be selected

(i) Infringement of these conditions or Championship regulations may lead to disqualification.

PRIZE FUND for the T.I.H.A. Limerick Lady Championship Final: Champion: €500 & the T.I.H.A. Perpetual Challenge Trophy, Reserve: €250, 3rd: €150, 4th: €100.

Final will take place at Limerick Show 23 August 2026

No entries permitted on day of event.
